I am from Greece. I married young, to an Italian man, and we had two beautiful children. For almost twenty years, I was a mother first, a wife second — and somehow, I forgot who I was. When my children grew up, my husband left. Suddenly I was alone, with no real profession, no confidence, and no idea what to do next. Life felt heavy.
In Greece, I started learning Thai Massage because my island is full of tourists. I took many short courses, collected many diplomas, but honestly, I didn’t feel my massage was getting better. Everyone around me seemed more skilled. My hands worked, but my heart felt lost. I wanted to understand the body — not just touch it.
One evening, while searching online, I found RSM International Academy in Chiang Mai. I didn’t know what to expect, but something about it felt true. I decided to take a chance and joined the courses with Mr. Hironori Ikeda, a Japanese teacher with more than 25 years of deep experience in Sports Medicine and manual therapy.
At first, I only planned to study Trigger Point Therapy, but after the first two days, I was amazed. Mr. Ikeda didn’t just show us how to press muscles — he taught us how to see, feel, and understand the human body. He explained every movement, every muscle, every kinetic chain — how the fascia and nerves work together like one intelligent system. His way of teaching was scientific but also full of kindness and patience. Even when I made mistakes, he never judged me. I was only a mother with high school education, but he treated me with the same respect as any medical professional.
Because of that, I decided to cancel all my other courses and continue the full three-week training. I studied Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Dynamic Myofascial Release, and Orthopedic Massage for Spine Mobility and Breathing. Every day we practiced, analyzed, and learned through hundreds of photos and videos. My notebook was full of drawings and notes, and my heart was full of hope again.
When I came back to Greece, after ten days of working with clients, one of my regulars suddenly told me:
“You have magic hands. You touch exactly where my pain is. I’ve never felt anything like this before.”
When he left, I sat down and cried. Those were tears of happiness, because for the first time in many years, Myofascial release I felt proud of myself. That night, I wrote a message to Mr. Ikeda:
“Thank you. Truly, thank you. Now I believe I can do this.”
This is not just a story — this is real. I am 48 years old, divorced, and for the first time in my life, I can stand on my own feet, helping others heal with my Deep Tissue Massage own hands. RSM International Academy gave me not just knowledge, but a new life.
If you are someone who has struggled, lost direction, or feels too old to start again — Myofascial release trust me, you are not.
This school can change your life too, the same way it changed mine.
I will go back soon to continue the Professional Sports Medicine Massage Course, because learning from Mr. Ikeda is not just education — it’s transformation.
